About

I started this blog as space where I can share my journey in doing what I love most: learning stuff. It also doubles as a place to collect my thoughts and share the occasional code snippet.

I’ve always liked writing, but, as I transitioned my career towards software development, I find myself mostly writing code, specs and documentation, and feeling the need to write other things about my passions.

Another thing that motivated me is the rise of LLMs. “AI” is changing the way a lot of us work and I feel this changes are not always for the best. Some of us may be feel more productive, but I don’t think the majority of us are happier, and I’d argue it is the opposite. I find it good for research and mundane tasks, but I can’help but feel deprived of something that gave me joy whenever I have to use it for coding or writing.

That’s why I strive to keep this space free from AI generated content; It may be used:

  • For hero images
  • For simple UI components in demos
  • To help manage the site

But not for the actual writing or for the showcased snippets.

I think it’s important for all of us to keep writing an coding by hand where we can afford to do so, because writing is a process that refines thinking. If we stopped doing so, I fear we will eventually become unaccustomed to the effort, and we will all be poorer beacuse of it.

I’ve decided to take my efforts public in the hope that the contents can be useful to someone else and to drive myself to keep at it. Enjoy your stay!
